Winston-Salem police say the homicide was a domestic violence incident

The Winston-Salem Police Department said Monday that a 20-year-old woman was killed in a domestic violence incident on Sunday. A department spokesperson said a suspect has not been named or charged as police are still investigating. According to the Winston-Salem Police Department, officers responded to the 2200 block of Lula Street near Flag Street around 7:10 p.m. Sunday. to reports of gunshots. The incident area is not far from Salem Parkway and Fifth Street. While responding, officers received an additional call indicating an unresponsive woman next to a vehicle in an alley on Flag Street. Bria Robinson, 20, was found with gunshot wounds. Forsyth County Emergency Medical Services pronounced Robinson dead at the scene. “We are devastated,” said Frank Robinson, senior pastor of Messiah Community Christian Church. “As a community, as a member, we are devastated.
