The high school volleyball playoffs return Tuesday. Here’s what to look for.

The high school volleyball playoffs resume Tuesday night as nine Gainesville-area teams look to keep their seasons alive and advance deeper into the slice.

Here’s a look at each of the matches:

WHO: Yulee (18-10) at Santa Fe (25-3)

WHAT: Class 4A, semi-final Region 1

WHEN: Tuesday, 7 p.m.

NOTABLE: The Yulee Hornets and Santa Fe Raiders have yet to see each other this season. However, the two teams have each played Buchholz and Ridgeview this season, with Santa Fe sweeping Buchholz twice and beating Ridgeview in straight sets once. Meanwhile, Yulee swept Buchholz 2-0 in the tournament and was beaten by Ridgeview 2-1 in the tournament. Santa Fe is punctuated by junior Jalyn Stout (325 kills), Rylie Tam (322 kills), junior Miya Thomas (374 digs) and junior Anisa Dorlouis (339 assists). Yulee is led by senior Christina Jackson (319 assists), senior Caroline Brackens (312 assists), junior Ashley Hall (283 digs) and senior Kaylee Manning (564 assists).

FOLLOWING: Santa Fe would host Bishop Kenny-South Walton winner on Saturday, while Yulee would travel to the winner if the Hornets were upset.

Church of Christ Academy (14-6) at Oak Hall (19-8)

WHAT: Class 2A, semi-final Region 1

WHEN: Tuesday, 6 p.m.

NOTABLE: This is the first meeting of Christ’s Church Academy and Oak Hall. However, both teams played Countryside Christian and St. Johns Country Day. As Christ’s Church swept through Countryside, the team are 1-1 against St. Johns Country Day. Meanwhile, Oak Hall is a 3-0 combined against the same teams. Christ’s Church is led by sophomore Nadia Mortensen (255 wins), senior Hope Kinman (325 digs) and sophomore Sydney Kambach (435 assists). Meanwhile, senior Sophia Aulisio leads Oak Hall with 261 kills and 266 digs, alongside sophomore Lexi Jurecko with 406 assists.

FOLLOWING: The winner would face the winner of Harvest Community and St. Johns Country Day on Saturday. Oak Hall would host, while Christ’s Church would have to go to Harvest Community, but would host St. Johns Country Day.

Lafayette (17-8) at Dixie County (14-9)

WHAT: Regional semi-final class 1A

WHEN: Tuesday, 7 p.m.

NOTABLE: Although the Lafayette Hornets and Dixie County Bears haven’t met on the field this season, they have played a lot of similar opponents. Lafayette and Dixie County have shared six common opponents in the regular season. And among those opponents, the Hornets finished 6-4, while the Bears finished 8-4. Lafayette is led by senior Emily Lyons (229 kills), senior Brooklyn Fleming (75 blocks), senior Tana Byrd (278 digs) and senior Katelynn Mathis (266 assists). Meanwhile, Dixie County is led by junior Katie Roberts (259 eliminations), sophomore Paris Williams (123 blocks), senior Aubrey Thomas (861 digs) and senior Baylie Robson (573 assists).

FOLLOWING: The winner will face the winner from Branford-Bell on Saturday. Dixie County would host either team, while Lafayette would travel.

Bell (13-12) at Branford (12-6)

WHAT: Regional semi-final class 1A

WHEN: Tuesday, 7 p.m.

TO NOTE : The Bell Bulldogs and Branford Buccaneers met on the field once this season in a game that saw Bell walk away 3-1 (25-17, 24-26, 25-12, 28-26 ). Bell is led by senior Michelle Heilig (320 assists), senior Taylor Tompkins (93 blocks), sophomore Amani Salem (429 digs) and senior Emma Hutto (499 assists). Meanwhile, the Buccaneers are punctuated by sophomore Jadyn Mosley (116 kills), senior Halleigh Harris (249 digs) and rookie Andi Sabourin (389 assists).

FOLLOWING: The winner will face the winner from Lafayette-Dixie County on Saturday. If Dixie County wins, the winner from Bell-Branford will go there. Meanwhile, if Lafayette wins, the winner from Bell-Branford will be the host.

Williston (8-10) vs. Pierson Taylor (20-3)

WHAT: Regional semi-final class 1A

WHEN: Tuesday, 6 p.m.

TO NOTE : Williston and Taylor are no strangers to each other. In fact, the two programs met twice in October, with Taylor winning both games in straight sets. The Williston Red Devils are led by junior Karley Jerrels (241 kills, 180 digs) and sophomore Jenna Yancey (243 assists). Meanwhile, the Taylor Wildcats are led by senior Brittany Cowart (329 assists, 63 blocks), sophomore Jocelyn Aguirre (289 digs) and junior Ava Ramos (416 assists).

FOLLOWING: Taylor would host the Union County-Newberry winner on Saturday, while Williston would visit the Union County-Newberry winner.

Newberry (17-10) at Union County (14-8)

WHAT: Regional semi-final class 1A

WHEN: Tuesday, 7 p.m.

TO NOTE : The Union County Fightin ‘Tigers and Newberry Panthers have seen each other twice this season. And while the Tigers won both games, the Panthers didn’t make it easy. The duo’s last match went to five sets. Union County is punctuated by junior Jaycee Davis (329 kills, 327 digs) and senior Maegan Beatty (667 assists). Meanwhile, Newberry is led by senior Faith Wilson (312 assists, 141 blocks), senior Kirsten Thomas (597 digs) and senior Abby Pace (639 assists).

FOLLOWING: The winner of Union County-Newberry will face the winner of Williston-Taylor on Saturday. If Taylor defeats Williston, the Union County-Newberry winner will travel to Pierson. But if Williston wins, the winner from Union County-Newberry will host on Saturday.
