The Great Lakes Center for the Arts will host the next Christian Women’s Retreats

BAY HARBOR – WinSome Women’s Retreats feature a lineup of encouraging speakers and an award-winning musician plus worship and prayer. The popular retreats will be held this spring on Tuesday and Wednesday — May 17 and 18, Wednesday and Thursday — May 18 and 19, and Thursday and Friday — May 19 and 20 at the Great Lakes Center for the Arts in Bay Harbor.

Hotel options are posted on the WinSome Women website at www.wswretreats.org. Some will offer a discount if WinSome Women is mentioned and most include breakfast.

The Christian organization with an all-volunteer steering committee is a unique community of women of all faiths and walks of life. The retreats began in 1971 with a neighborhood Bible study in northern Michigan. Early retreats grew rapidly and were held at Bay View, Petoskey High School, and the Boyne Mountain Convention Center. For many years, retreats have served thousands of women from Michigan, over 45 other states, and Canada at the Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island.

The comforting voice of Dove Award winner and Gaither Homecoming artist Lynda Randle brings messages of God’s love with folk hymns and songs of faith. Featured speaker and author Chrys Howard is the mother of Korie Robertson, star of the hit TV series Duck Dynasty. Chrys shares her thoughts on family and grandparents. Comedian and frequent Women of Joy speaker Sylvia Harney loves teaching the word of God. She says, “…laughter uplifts hearts, but only the Word of God sustains them.”

WinSome Women is delighted to present this award-winning musician and his speakers at the May 2022 retreats. Come, bring your mother, daughter, sister or friend and experience joy, peace and love of God. Register at www.wswretreats.org.
