The director of Greensboro Academy said it shouldn’t be included in the state’s cluster report for the same reason.

“Although we have had cases at Greensboro Academy, we do not meet the definition of a cluster because there is no plausible epidemiological link between the cases,” Director Tracey Duhaime said in an email. .

At the Revolution Academy Charter School, one new case reported among staff and two new cases among children brought the total number in the school group to nine, according to the report.

At the Triad Math and Science Academy, five new cases reported among students brought the total number of cases to 15.

Principal Paul Bryant said seven of those cases were from the Industrial Road elementary campus and the other eight from the school’s main campus on Creekridge Drive.

None of those cases included in the state’s report came from on-campus transmissions, Bryant said, and all of the students who tested positive did so as a result of exposure at home or in the community.

Bryant said the school’s football team was also placed in quarantine, per CDC guidelines, after a player tested positive.

“No one else has tested positive except for the first student who appeared to have contracted it from home,” said Bryant.
