Sale of the $9.75 million Paradise Valley estate

The John Christopher McCarthy Trust paid cash for a nearly 13,000 square foot mansion at the base of Paradise Valley’s Camelback Mountain. He owns Kansas-based car dealership McCarthy Auto Group. The Spanish Colonial-style home with six bedrooms and 12 bathrooms qualified as a “move-in ready resort” in the listing.

The property has his and hers outdoor showers, his and hers offices, a 21-seat theater, two guest houses, a separate gym building, and tennis and basketball courts. Scott and Catherine Allen sold the property. He is president of Cash Time Title Loans.

Wow Properties LLC has purchased a Paradise Valley home with an adjacent one-acre lot near Arizona’s Biltmore. The 12,161 square foot mansion has seven bedrooms and eight bathrooms. The backyard features an Olympic-size swimming pool, bocce courts, putting green, sand volleyball court, in-ground trampoline and two fire pits. The interior has marble floors, an imported Italian staircase, limestone columns, a stone wine cellar and five fireplaces.

Ali and Mahdieh Askari were the sellers. The sale sets a record for the Biltmore neighborhood, said Frank Aazami of Russ Lyon Sotheby’s International Realty, which had the listing.

Michael and Linda Keefe from Wyoming paid cash for a 7,461 square foot estate north of Scottsdale with seven bedrooms and 7½ bathrooms located on 18 acres. The property features two Spanish hacienda-style homes, a resort-style pool, and three tee boxes to hit a custom golf green. Timothy Rickman was the salesman.

Dr. Feras Aldaoud, an internist, purchased an 8,185 square foot Paradise Valley home with four bedrooms and five bathrooms. The house has a kitchen with a copper hood and a pantry, a wine cellar and a games room with a bar. Stephen and Anna Stine were the sellers.
