SAUK RAPIDS – After a brief inauguration ceremony, the “Riverside Nights” concert series kicked off Thursday evening at the new 1851 Square Amphitheater in Sauk Rapids. 1851 was the year Lynden Terrace, the first house in Sauk Rapids, was built.

The amphitheater is part of the larger $ 9.1 million park renovation project in Southside and Lions Park which has been named The meadow. The name represents the area that the early settlers created for themselves and the area of ​​the complex itself today.
