We are nearing the end of the high school football season. Below is a selection of scores from week 8 of the season:
Lipscomb Academy 44, Knox Catholic 0
Lipscomb Academy quarterback Luther Richesson had 266 yards and three halftime touchdowns as the Mustangs maintained control of their win over host Knox Catholic throughout.
The Mustangs will host Etowah High School in Alabama next week ahead of its colossal reunion with Christ Presbyterian Academy on October 22.
Brentwood Academy 17, Eagle’s Landing Christian Academy 14
Running back Deuce Scott rushed for two touchdowns and George Laster netted a 30-yard field goal to help BA secure a road victory at Eagle’s Landing Christian Academy in McDonough, Ga.
The team will host the West Toronto Prep next Thursday.
Franklin Road Academy 28, Stratford 7
Running back Jeffery Vercher rushed for two goals and 131 yards in a home win over Stratford for FRA on Friday.
QB Cole Koogler threw for 126 yards and a touchdown to Taylor Williams in the win, and Bobby Council rushed in for a late touchdown.
FRA is playing BGA on October 22 after a week off.
