Phil Thompson Celebrates “Lion Of Judah” Album Release

Today is the day – that of Phil Thompson album Lion of judah, his project of 11 songs with Integrity music, is now available. Also released today her music video for the track “Redeeming the Years”, which can be viewed here or below.

It was in 2017 when Phil Thompson stepped forward from behind the songwriter’s quill and committed to one goal: worship. Since then, the gospel and cult artist has traveled the world to worship in Ghana, Nigeria, UK, Netherlands, Canada, Caribbean Islands and USA, and with the songs found Lion of judah, he still shares the same heart of passionate devotion with the world.

As you write these songs about hope and faith rising from the ashes of the past year, Lion of judah is its response to the anxiety and turmoil we all face and reminds the body of Christ of the solid hope found in Jesus.

“These are songs that I wrote during the pandemic, which was a stressful time for all of us,” says Thompson. “From keeping promises when we are filled with fear to letting go and welcoming newness and freshness… to sinking into anxiety to overcome and boldly proclaim who we are, it felt like everything was burnt, but now the soil is more fertile than it ever was.

To celebrate the album’s release, Thompson will host two album release concerts – the first this Sunday, July 25 in Durham, NC, followed by a performance in Boston the following week on Sunday, August 1. Tickets are available on LionOfJudahLive.com.
