Jenna (Cornett) Homola, 44, Aurora – WRBI Radio

Jenna Lynn Homola, 44, of Aurora died suddenly on Tuesday evening September 13, 2022 at St. Elizabeth Dearborn Hospital in Lawrenceburg. She was born in Columbus on June 11, 1978, the daughter of John and Vicki Vaughn Cornett. She was married to Nathan Homola on July 18, 2015, and he survives. Other survivors include four sons Ryan, Zander and Braxton Homola, and Kingston Smith, all at home; his mother and stepfather Vicki and Tom Wilson of Holton; maternal grandmother Wilma Myers of Holton; stepmother Renea (Rodney) Hamilton of Dillsboro; stepfather David Hudson of Aurora; brother Jeff (Aimee) Cornett of Versailles; nephews Jackson and Jay Cornett and his niece Lydia Cornett; Uncle Steve (Teresa) Vaughn of Holton; Aunts Carol Burnett of Columbus, Pam (Carson) Trent of Greensburg and April (Bob) McCreary of Batesville. She was predeceased by her father John Cornett and her maternal grandfather Wilbur Myers. Ms. Homola graduated in 1996 from South Ripley High School. She earned her bachelor’s degree in special education and English from IU Northwest, and earned her master’s degree from Ball State University in special education administration with a focus on applied behavior analysis. Jenna previously taught in the South Ripley School System and was currently employed by the Madison Area Special Education Services Unit, as the Director of Special Education at Swiss County Schools and South -west (Hanover). Jenna was a member of Holton Christian Church and Delta Rho Tri-Kappa. His wishes were to be cremated and a celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, September 17 at 5 p.m. at Holton Christian Church with Bro. Bob McCreary officiating. The call will start at 3 p.m. Memorials may be donated to the sons of Jenna and Nathan or to Holton Christian Church in care of Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles.
