North beats the artesians

MARTINSVILLE – Ella Wilks won medalist honors with 36 to lead the co-no. 16 Columbus North on Martinsville 166-180 at Foxcliff.

Gwen Anderson shot a 37 for the Bull Dogs. Ritisha Rashmil got a 44, Macy Euler a 49, Lindsey Hartwell a 51, Erin Hopkins a 52, Reese Euler a 53 and Nettie Meeks a 56.

Trojans are the best Olympians

ST. LEON – Columbus East lost to East Central 4-1.

Matthew Degner won his match 7-6 (1), 7-6 (3) for the Olympians (2-5).

Derek Heideman fell 6-1, 6-2. Brady Redelman lost 6-1, 6-4, Henry Ulrich and Tyler Ernst lost 6-4, 7-5 and Jacob Dettmer and Ethan Bumbalough lost 6-4, 6-4.

The Lancers walk past the Jets

HOPE – This was the No. 1 singles match between Hauser and Edinburgh, and the Lancers won for a 3-2 Mid-Hoosier Conference victory.

Panthères Shiners Tie

NORTH VERNON – Jennings County dominated Rising Sun 10-6 on Tuesday but had to settle for a 1-1 draw against Rising Sun.

Morgan Lane scored the Panthers’ goal (4-3-1) on an assist from Delany Burkman. Cheyeanna Leslie recorded five saves and Alanya Phillips added one.

Trinity at the top of the GCA

SEYMOUR – Trinity Lutheran claimed her first win of the season on Tuesday, a 2-1 win over Greenwood Christian Academy.

Sarah Lemming and Emma Myers scored goals, and Kailene Cockerham had an assist for Trinity (1-3). Samantha Enzinger made 12 saves.
