Imagine Faith Talk,” a Christian Podcast which launched this month, features “two men on different paths.” the Podcast is a collaboration between Kevin Olusolaa former medical student turned musician at Pentatonix, and Donovan Dee Donnell, a former exotic dancer turned author, speaker and life coach. A new episode is posted every Wednesday.

The two join forces to help listeners “maximize your uniqueness” and achieve their dreams in ways that honor God.

Former exotic dancer: God told me to stop

Donnell, author of Before “I do” and Develop the entrepreneursays a friendly challenge to dance on stage led to a stripper lifestyle full of money but devoid of joy. All the wealth, cars, fame and attention “didn’t equal fulfillment” or satisfaction, he admits.

Donnell thought to himself that there “must be more” in life, and during a conversation with God he heard the word Stop. His first response was, “Quit and do what? That seems to be the only thing I’m good at. But then, Donnell said, God revealed that “You’ll never know what’s inside until you have to live without it. And when he took everything from me, I could see what he had prepared for me, what he had already put inside me.

Donnell, 42, says God helped him realize that “entertainment and carnal pleasures” were not his goal. “The moment that changed my life was when I stopped praying for what I wanted and prayed for what God had prepared for me,” he says.

Deciding to pursue the abundant life that Jesus offers was a game-changer for Donnell. Now he is working to encourage others to be vessels to do God’s will here on earth. Donnell also shares videos on his Youtube channel “Hoping someone will hear/see my story and have hope for theirs.” On instagramhe indicates that another of his books is “coming soon”.

Podcast: Pursuing Divine Purposes Without Compromise

The title of the podcast’s first episode sums up a key message from its creators: “You don’t have to sell your soul to get your dreams.” Donnell and Olusola point out that faith in God is “the key to unlocking anything you’ve dreamed of.”
