ANN ARBOR – There is no shortage of athletic talent in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

The tradition runs deep and Niche.com took note of its annual ranking of Michigan’s best high schools for athletes for the 2021-2022 school year.

Niche, a research website, publishes annual rankings for colleges, schools, neighborhoods, and communities. It also ranks its rankings for high schools, handing out grades for everything from sports and diversity to food and college prep.

Niche uses a variety of sources to determine its grades and rankings, drawing statistics from the US Department of Education, the National Center for Education Statistics, the Civil Rights Data Collection, and the results of parent and public surveys. athletes.

Surveys represent 50% of the year of study, with registrations representing 20%. The number of sports offered and the number of championships get 10% each, with the participation of girls and boys representing 5 each.

Michigan’s Top 100 Public High Schools for Athletes in 2022

Four schools in the region made it to the Top 50 and two schools made it to the State’s Top 15.
