Blair Oaks Girls Win Title

KNOB NOSTER – The Blair Oaks Lady Falcons won the team title Tuesday at the Knob Noster Invitational, while the Falcons won four events and placed fifth as a team.

Blair Oaks totaled 115.5 points in the girls’ team standings, finishing first out of 15 schools. Cameron took second place with 92 points and Clinton was third with 84 points.

The Lady Falcons won only one event but scored at least one run in 17 of the 19 events.

Payton Mitchell was the Lady Falcons’ lone winner, placing first in the women’s 100-meter hurdles with a time of 16.79 seconds.

The Falcons’ four event wins accounted for half of their 80 points in the team standings. Harrisonville won with 116 points, followed by Lafayette County (101), Lexington (86) and Clinton (81).

Luke LePage won the boys’ pole vault with a record height of 14 feet 3.25 inches.

Both Thomas McCauley and Levi Frisbie were double winners for the Blair Oaks boys. In the individual events, Frisbie won the 800 meter race in 2:05.71 and McCauley placed first in the 3,200 meter race in 10:32.19.

McCauley and Frisbie were joined by Nick Closser and Nick Stover on the 4×800 meters relay. The Falcons won the event with a time of 8:29.09.
